Hello Roxboro Sharks,

RVA parking policy:  Please be aware of, and be sure that any persons driving to and parking at RVA on your behalf are also aware of the parking policy at RVA.  To ensure the safety of all persons at RVA, we must not park along the parking lot curbs or in any space other than a properly marked parking space in the RVA lot.  If you park along the curb or in any space other than a properly marked parking space, you will be asked to move your car immediately.  Parking places at RVA are limited, therefore many of our members have to park along Roxboro Drive.  ONLY park along the right hand side of the road leading into RVA.  We must keep one side of the road clear of parked cars to ensure emergency vehicles can get to RVA in case of emergency.  Please don't be the parked car that prevents the ambulance from getting to RVA in case of emergency.  I have attached the parking guidelines we use for all meets.  The RVA Board is working to implement these same parking guidelines for all RVA events, including normal operating hours.

Swimmer signups:  Thank you all for your patience as I continue to work hard learning how to navigate the new RoxboroSharks.swimtopia.com website.  I have now loaded all swim meets, and swimmer signups are live!  Please visit the website and signup your swimmer(s) for our meets.  Signups will close the Friday before each meet at 11:30pm.  This is a firm deadline.  It takes hours for our Head Coach to build a meet lineup, exchange that lineup with the other team and then make any corrections necessary.  Your failure to signup your swimmer will not be our problem come Saturday morning.  Please do everything you can to meet these Friday night deadlines.  Please also note, that if you do not signup your swimmer for a meet, it is assumed your swimmer will not be swimming in that meet

Job signups are also now open.  Please be aware of our simple policy regarding volunteers at our swim meets, "if your child is swimming in a meet, YOU must volunteer at the same meet!"  Please don't make us chase you down and beg you to do your part.  Many hands make light work for all.  Volunteer, please!

For those that registered your swimmers prior to April 15, t-shirts will be available for pickup starting Monday, May 21.  I will bring them with me to every practice until they are all handed out. 

For those that ordered swimsuits, towels or bags at our swim suit fittings in March.  I will have those items available for pickup starting Monday, May 21.  I will bring them with me to every practice until they are all handed out.
