Hello Sharks,

It is always a surprise to me when I look at the calendar and realize the end of swim team is around the corner. But we still have two more meets and our end of season celebration, so it isn’t quite done yet.

Don’t forget the LapAThon benefitting the Aflac Children Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta is this Thursday June 17 during the morning regular practice time. I have attached the pledge form. We will have music to keep us energized, and prizes! We are also selling our leftover inventory of previous season’s t-shirts ($5 each) for this cause. We have lots of great t-shirts in a wide variety of colors and sizes. Please stop by and see me at any of the practices this week to make your selection and donation to CHoA.

Friday June 18 is our last 6U Mini Meet of the season. I hope your swimmers have had as much fun as we have with these events. It is also our last FRIDAY FUN DAY of the season. Any 6U’s that would like to join the games with the 7/8’s from 8:30-9:15 are welcomed. 9/10’s and 11+ will have their games during their regular practice times on Friday. We will have coaches in the water to help all our 6U’s and 7/8’s find a game that fits their interest and water skills.

Our Roxboro Sharks Swim & Dive Teams End of Season Celebration will be on Wednesday June 23, 5-8pm. We will have Kona Ice, lots of fun and fellowship, and hopefully a few surprises for our swimmers. Awards presentation will begin at 7pm. Please RSVP just as you would for a swim meet. This will allow us to properly prepare for all our Sharks in attendance.
