Hello Sharks,

What fun it was to host our friends, Hampton Hall Waves, last night. The meet went smoothly and we were done before 8:30pm. Many, many thanks to all our parent volunteers. It takes a lot of work before, during and after to make a safe and successful event and we could not do it without all our volunteers. Thank you!

We didn’t win the meet, but we had a lot of personal bests and first time swims in the water. Everyone likes to add a notch to the win column, including me. But, I am happy to celebrate the small personal victories just as much as the big team victories!

Ribbons will be available at practice on Thursday June 17. You can come to me on deck during any practice and collect your ribbons.

Sign up now for the meet on MONDAY June 21 vs The Branches. Sign up will close at 11:59pm on Thursday June 17. This will be our last meet of the season. We will celebrate our High School Seniors with a special Senior Swim at the end of the meet. Weather allowing, we will have a one hour free swim after the meet. We will also have complimentary pizza for all our Sharks after the meet. No practice on Tuesday June 22 so this is a great chance to stay up late, swim with friends, and enjoy some pizza for a late night snack.

Looking ahead, our annual LapAThon for CHoA is tomorrow Thursday June 17. Every lap counts. We know some of our swimmers need help of the coaches or kickboards to swim laps, and that is fine. One lap or 100 laps, they all add up and they will make a difference. You are welcome to make per lap pledges for your swimmer or a flat donation. 100% will go to the Aflac Children Cancer Center at CHoA.

Our last 6U mini meet is Friday June 18. Fun Friday for all the other age groups. This Friday we are inviting our 6U’s to join the 7/8’s for Fun Friday. If your 6U is interested, they are welcome to stay after the mini meet and join the in water games with the 7/8’s from 8:30-9:10am.

Please RSVP for the End of Season Celebration just as you do for a swim meet. We will celebrate all of our Sharks on Wednesday June 23, 5-8pm. It will be a night to remember!
