Hello Sharks!

A great swim meet last night vs the Hammond Hills Hammerheads. I saw a lot of SHARK “hardworkers” in the water, on deck, in the concession stand, up and down Roxboro Road, and everywhere I looked. We have received many compliments and gratitude from Hammond Hills for our hospitality. Thank you everyone for your hard work in helping Roxboro Sharks continue to be known as one of the best teams in the league.

We won the meet by a score of 424-357. Ribbons have been printed and are in the ribbon box. Your swimmer can pick those up at any practice session during the season. Remind your swimmer that Mrs. Entrekin and all the coaches think all colors of ribbons are awesome, not just the blue ones. And, that we are most proud of swimmers that do their best, cheer for their team, try new events, and always display good attitudes.

Many thanks to all our volunteers. A home meet is a giant task and it can’t happen without everyone lending a hand.

Sign up now for meet#3, a home meet vs Redfield Sun Devils on Tuesday June 14. Swimmer signups close at 11:30pm on Friday June 10. Remember to signup for a volunteer job at the same time. This will be our last home meet of the season and we will celebrate our 2022 high school graduates with their Senior Swim at the conclusion of the meet. We will have pizza and a one-hour free swim after the meet. Make plans now to take a nap before the meet and stay up late with the Sharks!
