Hello Sharks,

Another great meet for the Sharks on Tuesday at Chastain Park. Chastain Park is a big team with an even bigger facility. I am super proud of our Sharks for great swims while navigating the logistics and challenges of the pool deck. But, I am most proud of our Sharks and our good sportsmanship, our great attitude, and our willingness to work together to do great things!

I will be away from my beloved Sharks today thru next Tuesday. I will meet you at Hampton Hall for our meet#4. I know the coaches, swimmers, parents, and families will continue to support and guide each other to continue the good work we have been doing all season. Thank you!

Tomorrow, Friday June 14 is 6U MiniMeet#3. By now, many of you know what it takes to run a safe and fun mini meet. Please step up and volunteer for those few easy jobs to get it done. Thank you!

Upcoming deadlines:

Signup for meet#4 deadline is Friday June 14 at 11pm, Roxboro Sharks at Hampton Hall South Waves Tuesday June 18. 1218 Warrenhall Lane, Brookhaven 30319. Sharks arrive at 4:30pm, warmups at 5pm, meet starts at 5:30pm.

Signup for ASA Championship Meet deadline is Wednesday June 19 at 11pm. 

The ASA Championship Meet session for Roxboro Sharks is on Thursday June 27, 9:30am at Georgia Tech. Any Shark that can independently swim the full 25yard length of the pool is welcome to sign up. It is a great experience for Sharks, swimming in the 1996 Olympic Pool! You can sign up and select up to two individual events for your Shark. Coach Eli will build relays based on the swimmers signed up. So many of our Sharks have been to this meet. I am certain if you are at practice and start asking questions, another Shark parent will have the answers.  

Some details you may need to be aware of before committing to this meet.

Swimmers and Coaches will not be seated with parents and spectators. I promise that we will take care of your Shark, but they must sit with the team and not with you in the stands. This is the only way we can be sure your Shark gets to their event and heat on time.

Plan to arrive at Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center as early as 7:30am. Warmups begin as early as 8am. Roxboro has not been assigned our warmup time yet, but we must enter as a team. More details will be published closer to the date.

Parking at Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center will need to be pre-purchased at ParkMobile. Be sure to only purchase for the 2024 ASA Championship Day 2 MORNING https://app.parkmobile.io/venue/georgia-tech-aquatics-campus-recreation-center/events

Volunteers will be needed. We will get our volunteer assignments closer to the date. No job will prevent you from watching your Shark race. Some of the jobs may even get you up close and in perfect position to cheer on your Shark.

Sign up DEADLINE for this meet is Wednesday June 19, 11pm. No exceptions.
