Hello Sharks!

What a great night with our friends, the Hampton Hall
Waves! As I sit here reflecting on my
time in Indianapolis with Evelyn, I am struck by how amazing the swim community
is on all levels. No matter your involvement
in the sport of swimming, you are a part of a worldwide group of incredible
athletes and their families. I watched as the elite athletes and their fans at
the U.S. Swimming Team Trials supported one another at the biggest swim meet ever
held. And tonight I watched
our Sharks and their families support each other and the Hampton Hall Waves on
a beautiful Tuesday night at a neighborhood pool. Swimmers are an awesome group of people! Good job Sharks!

Signup now if you plan to swim the ASA Championship at
Georgia Tech on Thursday June 27.
Signups close on Wednesday June 19 at 11pm. As you signup your Shark, please use the “notes
to the coach” box to enter the information regarding the two individual events
you want to swim.

Sign up now for our last meet#5, Brittany Club at Roxboro
Sharks on Monday June 24. Signups close on
Friday June 21 at 11pm. We will
celebrate our High School Seniors with their final swims as Roxboro Sharks and
after the meet a one hour free swim under the lights. This will be a big meet so
we will need everyone to signup for a volunteer shift. Please do that now. Thank you!

Thursday June 27 is also our Sharks Swim & Dive Season
End Celebration, 5-8pm. We will have
awards for our swimmers, celebrate our coaches, and lots of highlights of the
season. We have a tradition of
presenting our coaches with handwritten cards and pictures, and gifts of appreciation. Please encourage your Sharks to take time to write
a note to any or all of the coaches that have made a positive difference in
their 2024 season. We will have large
envelopes on Thursday June 27 to collect those notes and pictures. Kay Alexander has graciously volunteered to
collect any funds from those that would like to contribute to the team gifts to
