Hello Sharks!

A very BIG thank you to all the 2025 Roxboro Swim Team Sharks! The flowers, the cards, the wet hugs, the smiles, and all the laughter… thank you for such a beautiful night celebrating the season.

By the numbers: 140 Sharks, 13 coaches, 5 dual meets, 4 mini-meets, 1,000 munchkins, 3,737 laps to fight cancer, countless volunteers and supporters, infinite joy…

We finished 3^rd place in our division, and 7^th place at the ASA Championship Session 3. Congratulations to our Sharks and our coaches. Head Coach Eli MacLane, Assistant Head Coach Mary Entrekin, Coach Kate Cunningham, Coach Virginia Jane Hultgren, Coach Ella Jacquin, Coach Davis Barnes, Coach Anna Entrekin, Coach Kyle Fionte, Coach Winlon Knowles, Coach Jack O’Donnell, Coach Nicholas Strok, Coach Libby O’Donnell and Coach Grogan Phillips.

Our RVA Board continues to support us with top-notch facilities and equipment. We are fortunate to have pool heaters that allow us to practice in the early weeks of May. We have some of the best swim team equipment, we are given priority use of the pool in May and June, and all of this is through the generosity of our members and board.

Many of you have inquired about year-round swimming. There are a number of options in the metro Atlanta area including Dynamo Swim Club, Swim Atlanta, Chastain, SPAC, and Buckhead Aquatics. My own daughters have been swimming at Dynamo so I am most familiar with their programming. They have a broad offering of programs designed to fit just about every swimmer’s goals. We have families at Roxboro that participate in all the above listed clubs, if you need a connection let me know.
