Roxboro Sharks / an incredible start to the season!
Hello Sharks!
It has been an incredible start to the 2026 season! The weather has been cooperating, the pool is in perfect condition, and the Sharks are in the water!
We know school is still in session and afternoons can get very busy. We are always happy to see our swimmers whenever they can make it to practice.
A few safety reminders: the baby pool is open during swim practice but there is no lifeguard on duty. If you are allowing your children to go into the baby pool, PLEASE be sure that you are paying attention and nearby. Swim practice is not a drop off activity for children 10 years and younger. A parent or guardian must be on site for practices for children 10 years and younger.
I will be out of town with my #4 daughter Wednesday and Thursday this week. Assistant Coach Kate will lead practice tomorrow, and Head Coach Mary will lead practice on Thursday. My #3 daughter’s high school graduation is Monday, May 18, so former Head Coach Eli will be there to lead practice that day. These coaches know what to do and your Sharks will be in good hands.
Next week Kay Alexander and Alison Strok will be meeting with 6U and 7/8 parents to share information about volunteering at swim meets. These very informative meetings will be on Tuesday May 19 and Thursday May 21 during those practice times.
Go Sharks!
