Hello Sharks!

Well, that is the part of summer in Atlanta that is a real challenge for swim team... thunder and lightning. We close the water for 30 minutes whenever we hear thunder or see lighting. The timer resets to 30 minutes every time that happens.  No one is more disappointed than I am when we don't get to swim.  

Tomorrow, Thursday May 21, is our last "after school" practice of the season.  We will move to morning practices on Tuesday May 26.  We have practice even on meet days.  Tomorrow the coaches will work with all our Sharks on starts, turns, and strokes. I know some of our returning Sharks were expecting the Mega Mini Meet tomorrow, but the coaches have decided it would be better for us all to have a regular practice. And, maybe, just maybe a treat or two for everyone.

The pool opens this Friday May 22, daily 11am-9pm, with some exceptions for swim and dive events.  Check the calendar at RoxboroValley.com for the most current information.
