    Divisional info

For full details, please see http://atlantaswimming.com/NASAChampionships

It starts at 9 a.m. you should arrive about 7:45.  It will take longer than you think to get into GA Tech.  Warm ups are  8:10 - 8:30.

Our bullpen area will be up in the stands.  We will try to get the section furthest in at the top of the stairs down to the girls pool.  Look for our Roxboro banner.  You can find a full GA Tech diagram from  the above link.  Please note that for individual races, the younger ages go through a Boys or Girls division bullpen.

Parking is expensive.  You can prepay a little cheaper.  Here is the info:

"Just a reminder that parking at Georgia Tech is unfortunately not free.  If you would like to prepay for your parking and get your pass in advance, please visit the following link https://gatech.clickandpark.com/  Due to construction around campus, the event may not be posted online until Monday, the week of the meet, so be patient.  Please only buy the day you need and make sure you select the correct day (Day 1 is Wednesday, Day 2 is Thursday, Day 3 is Friday, Day 4 is Saturday), no one will need an All Day pass.  The cost for the advance passes is $11.50 (thanks to a service charge).  If you do not prepay for parking you will need cash to park, the cost is $15 at the gate.  Please be sure to share this info with your teams.  A map to the area around the Aquatic Center can be found at https://pts.gatech.edu/subsite1/Documents/Parking_map_14-rv1.jpg  There will also be signs around the venue that will point you in the direction of the lots for the meet."

15-18 Girls will swim in the Girls pool this year.  Last year they swam in the boys pool for efficiency reasons.  It was a pain.  Thank goodness they moved them back!

The order of this event is unusual because they try to get the littlest swimmers finished fast.  It goes:

During the divisional sessions we will have the following order of events:

    1. 6 & Under Free Relays - All 6 & Unders should go to the bullpen as soon as they are done swimming their relays to get lined up for their freestyle swim.
    2. All Medley Relays
    3. 6& Under 25 Free - All 6 & Unders swimming the backstroke should go to the bullpen as soon as they are done swimming freestyle to get lined up for their backstroke swim.
    4. All Remaining Freestyle Relay Events
    5. 6 & Under Backstroke - After this event the 6 & Unders are done swimming.
    6. All Remaining 7 and Over Short Freestyle Events
    7. All Long Freestyle Events
    8. All Remaining 7 and Over Backstroke Events
    9. All IM Events
    10. All Breastroke Events
    11. All Butterfly Events

I will need a few relay parents—I’ll contact you directly.  Relay parents are allowed deck access for the relays and then asked to move up into the stands.

We will be following the results for the next 3 days to see who is eligible to go back for finals.  If you are unavailable to go back on Saturday, please let Chris know that tomorrow so he can scratch you and other swimmers have the opportunity to take your place.

All for now…see you in the morning.  Go Sharks!
