Same as before—4 p.m arrival, 4:30 warm-ups and a prompt 5:30 start.  Tracy Noble as volunteer coordinator will be filling out our volunteers spots tomorrow.  Please follow the attached parking plan and carpool if you can.

We are light coaches this week so we will be asking bull pen moms to help mark up.  Jennifer Entrekin will be working amongst the bull pens to help with that as needed.  Bull pen parents—attached is a tip sheet to help with your duties.  Rule of thumb— get the kids to the deck manager, the deck manager is responsible for getting the kids in the correct lane, the coaches are responsible (with a little help from timers if they are swimming) for getting the kids in the water.

We have a couple of ongoing volunteer spots with needs.

Parking coordinator – Collyn Gomez is great as our parking coordinator but her daughter is a graduating and the role will be open next year.  A brief description – this person works home meets from 3:30 – about 6.  They are not expected to volunteer at all for away meets.  They work with the police officer to follow the parking plan and monitor the number of spaces used inside the lot.  The ideal candidate would be a Pinehills resident who is familiar with the neighborhood.  It would be great if we could get someone to step up and learn the job by working with Collyn for this season’s home meets.  Please contact me if you are interested.

Tent Transporter– When I drove a Highlander, I carried all of the bullpen tents to the away meets.  Now I drive a Prius!!  We need someone that could transport tents to our away meets.  Please contact me to volunteer.

Inclement weather policy-- Hopefully we will be blessed with good weather like last week but in case we aren’t-- Remember we will swim through rain.  The kids are already wet but parents might want a rain coat.  Thunder and lightning wreak havoc with us.  Our goal will always be to try to get a meet in (or at least to the half way mark so we don’t have to reschedule) but sometimes we are delayed.  If the weather turns bad we will encourage folks to go to their cars to wait it out (but those of us that have been around know that it’s hard to get to our cars!)  In case of a weather delay,  we will TEXT and E-MAIL weather updates from the website.  Enough of that…
