Stroke Clinic – Could not be scheduled for this Saturday b/c of tree removal :(  We are planning to schedule a stroke clinic on Saturday 6/11 from 9-11 a.m. for the 11 and ups.  This will be an RSVP event!!  More details later.

Home meet on Tuesday night 6/7 –  If you have any suggestions for improvement in set up, bull pen location, whatever--  Please let me know. 

Hats off for a steep learning curve last week!  This week should run a little smoother since everyone has had a crash course in swim meet!

Another big hats off to our Coach Chris for getting the results out so quickly!  I did hear a little chatter about -- Why do place results not always agree with times?  Per our league rules (see the link to ASA on the home page of our website if you want to read for yourself!!) the place judge determines the finish.  To my knowledge, that’s the way all swim meets are ran unless you are operating with touch pads.  Why?  Human error.  Timer jobs are hard, just like but different from bull pen jobs, recorder jobs, etc. All jobs can be a little hard in chaos  And the atmosphere of a swim meet is quite festive.  Mistakes are made but, to my knowledge, no one has ever been dunked in the pool for making one!  

This Mom’s advice--don’t ever tell your kid what place they got until you see the color of that ribbon!
